A wall in Rue Hippolyte Guis overseeing the modern town of Cagnes and Nice. Looking down from Place du Château where the villager used to play boule - very competitively and very seriously. Now a car park. The fountain on the Montée de la Bourgade near the church. Passage leads back to Rue Hippolyte Guis. Here is one of the charming street signs for Rue Hippolye Guis. Passage way leads up toward the Château.

Steep passage leading from Rue Hippolyte Guis to the Château. This is the disused public washroom for clothing. A sort of launderette. I remember these being used when I visited in the 1960s. Situated in Rue Hippolyte Guis. Looking up from the Chapelle end of Rue Hippolyte Guis towards the Château. My grandmother's house was the one now covered in leaves. Montée du Château.

Rue Xavier Blanc. An excellent perspective of the Château. Chapelle Notre Dame de la Protection. Another view of Chapelle Notre Dame de la Protection from the bottom end of Rue Hippolyte Guis. My grandmother's grave at the Vieux Cimetière below Hault de Cagnes to the North.
